Ann Azama, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Azama was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. After earning her B.A. and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington, she continued post-doctoral studies at U.C.L.A. While earning a certificate in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Azama concurrently obtained a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Recognized for her outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry, Dr. Azama was selected to be a fellow in the American College of Dentists. She is also an elected fellow in the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Azama is a board acertified pediatric dentist, or Diplomate, of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
In addition to her years of exemplary care for her patients, Dr. Azama devotes much of her personal time to volunteer in organized dentistry. She served as President of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and as a Trustee on its Foundation Board. Dr. Azama and her husband, Dr. Randall Lee enjoy traveling and culinary adventures with their two sons.
Dennis Wong, D.D.S.
Dr. Dennis Wong was born and raised in Sacramento. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California at Davis. Dr. Wong then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and Specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he was Chief Resident. In 1996, Dr. Wong received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Pediatric Dentistry from the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He has been an Associate Clinical Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Wong is well known for his kind, gentle nature coupled with a wonderful sense of humor. He continually strives to form trusting relationships by creating a welcoming environment for his patients. Dr. Wong and his wife Betty have three boys and together they enjoy traveling, especially to Disneyland. He is an avid golfer and fisherman and he holds a second degree Black Belt in Hapkido.
Kristina Langworthy, D.D.S., M.S.
A native to the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Kristina grew up in Cupertino. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis, Dr. Kristina went on to the University of the Pacific in San Francisco where she received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While at the University of Texas in Houston, Dr. Kristina earned a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Kristina is a board certified pediatric dentist, or Diplomate, with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2009, Dr. Kristina received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
With her blend of calm confidence and spirit, Dr. Kristina is able to comfort children of any age. She creates a warm environment where science and artistry meet. Dr. Kristina and her husband, Tate, have three children with a lot of energy. They enjoy arts and crafts, hiking, swimming and biking as a family.
Demi Pham, D.D.S.
Dr. Pham was born and raised in the Bay Area. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific in Stockton where she graduated cum laude. After college, she continued to San Francisco where she attended University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Pham spent many winters and summers teaching kids how to swim. It was during her undergraduate years that she realized just how much she loved working with young kids and being able to make a difference in their lives at an early age. She continued on to earn her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU Langone Hospitals in Hawaii. She is a board certified pediatric dentist, or Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentists, and is a recipient of the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for placing in the top 3% on the qualifying exam.
While she did cherish her years in Hawaii, her heart has always been in the Bay Area. We are so fortunate to have such a kind and passionate Pediatric dentist join us to serve you.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, diving, snowboarding, and camping with her husband Kevin and their dog!
Roxanna Shafiee, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Shafiee grew up in San Francisco, where she attended The University of San Francisco as an undergraduate obtaining her B.S. in Biology. She received her D.D.S and post - doctoral degree in Orthodontics, also at the University Pacific School, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
In conjunction with her time at KidSmiles, Dr. Shafiee is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Preventative and Restorative Dentistry, and the Director of Undergraduate Orthodontics in the Main Clinic at the University of Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She has maintained a teaching role since 2001.
Dr. Shafiee is excited to be a part of this team of dental specialists where excellence is paramount. She is enthusiastic about providing you and your families the most outstanding care to achieve the most functional and esthetic smiles. In addition to practicing orthodontics as a hobby, she golfs and swims and is an avid reader.
